Raoul Pal Joins xMoney as Strategic Advisor

A globally respected macro investor and founder of Real Vision brings decades of financial market insight to help guide xMoney’s next phase of growth.
xMoney is proud to announce that Raoul Pal has joined xMoney as a Strategic Advisor, supporting our mission to build payment infrastructure that truly connects traditional finance and digital assets.
Raoul is one of the most respected macro thinkers of his generation: an investor, entrepreneur, and analyst who has spent decades studying how money moves, how markets evolve, and how technology reshapes financial systems.
His perspective comes at a crucial moment, as global payments transition toward regulated digital rails, stablecoins, and on-chain settlement.
A Career Spanning Global Finance and Digital Assets
Raoul’s career began at the very top of traditional finance. He held senior roles at Goldman Sachs, where he ran hedge fund sales for equities and derivatives in Europe, and later at GLG Partners, where he co-managed a global macro fund and worked closely with some of the world’s most respected hedge fund managers.
In 2005, Raoul founded Global Macro Investor (GMI), a research platform that has since become a trusted resource for hedge funds, family offices, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, RIAs, and high-net-worth investors worldwide. GMI quickly earned a reputation for deep, independent macro research and an exceptional long-term track record.
Democratizing Financial Intelligence
In 2014, Raoul co-founded Real Vision, reshaping financial media by making institutional-grade analysis accessible to a global audience. What started as a video-first platform evolved into a global financial knowledge network, complete with community tools, AI-driven insights, and contributors from across the investment world.
Today, Real Vision reaches millions of viewers across nearly every country, proving that understanding markets should not be limited to a small group of insiders.
Why Raoul is Excited to Join xMoney
xMoney sits at the intersection of payments, regulation, and digital assets, exactly where the next phase of global finance is taking shape. By building infrastructure that enables businesses and consumers to transfer value seamlessly across traditional currencies, cryptocurrencies, and stablecoins, xMoney is addressing the most challenging aspect of adoption: making innovation usable, compliant, and transparent.
Unlike many payment platforms that start globally and retrofit compliance later, xMoney has taken the opposite approach. By building first within Europe - one of the most regulated financial environments in the world - its infrastructure meets real regulatory, operational, and business requirements from day one.
This regional-first strategy allows xMoney to scale outward with confidence, offering merchants and institutions a payments layer that is already aligned with regulatory frameworks such as MiCA, while remaining flexible enough to support crypto, stablecoins, and on-chain settlement as they mature globally.
The infrastructure is supported by $XMN, xMoney’s compliant token, designed to align long-term incentives across the ecosystem. Rather than functioning as a speculative asset, $XMN plays a coordination role, supporting participation, governance, and ecosystem alignment as the network scales. Built with regulatory clarity in mind, it reflects xMoney’s broader philosophy: innovation that works within real-world financial systems, not around them.
For Raoul, this moment matters. His career has focused on identifying structural shifts early, and payments is now undergoing one of the most important transitions in decades. As regulated stablecoins, compliant on-chain settlement, and hybrid payment models move from theory to real-world deployment, xMoney is positioned to turn these shifts into everyday utility.
“Crypto only fulfills its promise when it disappears into the background. The real winners will be the platforms that make global payments simple, compliant, and invisible. That’s what excites me the most about xMoney.” - Raoul Pal
Raoul’s macro perspective, deep understanding of adoption cycles, and experience navigating both traditional and digital financial systems align closely with xMoney’s long-term vision. In his advisory role, he will focus on strategy, market structure, and helping xMoney anticipate how global money movement evolves in the years ahead.
Building for the Future, Now with xMoney
xMoney’s approach reflects a pattern Raoul has seen repeatedly throughout financial history: systems that win are not the loudest, but the ones that align innovation with regulation, infrastructure, and real-world utility.
By focusing on compliant payment rails, regional licenses, and merchant-ready infrastructure, xMoney is positioned to become a long-term leader as digital assets move from speculative instruments to everyday financial tools.
“We’re building payment rails for the future, starting in the most regulated markets first,”
said Gregorious Siourounis, Co-Founder & CEO of xMoney.
“That discipline gives us a structural advantage as digital assets move into mainstream finance. Raoul’s perspective reinforces our belief that long-term winners in payments will be compliant, scalable, and globally interoperable. And his depth of experience and clarity of thought supporting that journey is incredibly valuable.”
xMoney’s vision to expand across markets, payment methods, and regulatory frameworks can only benefit from such collaboration, which reinforces a shared belief: the future of money will be global, digital, and grounded in real-world use.
Welcome to xMoney, Raoul.
